I am a self taught artist living in Norfolk. I use soft pastel and pastel pencil which enables me to obtain the beautiful detail in my work. British wildlife, particularly the brown hare, has played a major part over the years in the recognition of my ability as an acclaimed artist, along with my other wildlife paintings.
I exhibit with and am a member of The Wildlife Art Society International (TWASI). At the TWASI exhibition in 2011 I won the Simon Combes award for the best African wildlife. 2012 brought a Bronze Citation. In May 2014 at the TWASI exhibition I was delighted to be presented with the Founders Award for the best British wildlife and in 2015 was awarded a Bronze Citation and also the TWASI David Shepherd award for endangered species. Over the past few years I have been selected to exhibit at the National Exhibition of Wildlife Art (NEWA) in Cheshire.
I am passionate about animal conservation both in the UK and internationally. Through my paintings I have supported international conservation charities such as the Born Free Foundation, Animals Saving Animals, Ol Pejeta, The David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation and recently the Canine Cancer Unit of the Animal Health Trust and the War Horse Memorial in the hope that I can help make a difference in some small way.
With a worldwide client base my paintings and commissioned animal portraits are in many private homes.
For information about my pastel art classes or workshops please go to the "Exhibition" section of the website.
If you are interested in commissioning a portrait in pastel I will need 2-3 good, clear colour photographs taken at the animals eye level. Please contact me for more information.
